Louise kijkt knarsetandend toe hoe Suzanne, haar moeder, zich als een bakvis door haar internetvriend Robert laat versieren. Ze moet en zal de romantische avond saboteren. Vic en Charlotte zitten ondertussen gegijzeld in de slaapkamer. Om de situatie nog ingewikkelder te maken, verschijnt Thomas aan de deur. De volgende dag wordt het ronduit gevaarlijk voor Louise want Suzanne maakt haar opwachting op de redactie om met Bruno te spreken.

Dat haar moeder zoiets doet! Nico probeert Jana intussen van haar examen af te leiden en haar via de valiumpillen van Vic opnieuw te verleiden.

De hele redactieploeg van Don gaat in Oostende twee dagen brainstormen over het volgend nummer en over de toekomst van het blad. Louise valt echter op mysterieuze wijze ten prooi aan een virus dat haar darmen teistert. Ze valt uit, net op het moment dat ze haar speech wil afsteken, die haar positie en inhoudelijk overwicht in ere moet herstellen. Ondertussen krijgt Charlotte haar radioprogramma terug.

Louise voelt zich helemaal niet lekker bij de nieuwe situatie op de redactie. Bovendien grijpt Bruno elke kans om haar te pesten. Louise kan de toestand niet langer aan en geeft haar ontslag. Vic weet dat Charlotte zich zorgen maakt over 'Het hart op de tong' en hij gaat in de aanval. Kaat geeft Patrick de bons. Om haar alsnog te imponeren, wil Patrick saxofoon leren spelen. Wanneer hij bij Femke muziekles gaat volgen, zorgt hij echter ongewild voor spanningen tussen Femke en haar vader.
