De legendarische Britse rockband New Model Army zal in mei afzakken naar het Waalse dorpje Durbuy, waar elk jaar DurbuyRock plaatsvind, een klein festival met zelfde doelen als Groezrock en een camping in een speeltuin (leukste camping ooitxD). Samen met New Model Army zullen dat weekend ook nog o.a. Terror, Peter Pan Speedrock, Moonspell, Crematory, Amen Ra, Dagoba, My Dying Bride en Horse The Band verschijnen.
=> vrijdag 16 en zaterdag 17 mei

Ergens midden jaren '90 verveelden Chris Kosnik (Godspeed) en Ed Mundell (Monster Magnet) zich blijkbaar en ontstond The Atomic Bitchwax. Oorspronkelijk waren hun albums gevuld met psychedelische jams en voornamelijk instrumentale stukken, maar tegenwoordig doen ze ook aan traditioneler songwriting.

|  | | Soundtrack houdt het (even) voor bekeken, gelukkig ben ik er om deze nieuwsbrief over te nemen en jullie zo vaak mogelijk te voorzien van een nieuwe band/artiest.
Voor tips, suggesties, opmerkingen, eender wat zijn jullie dus vanaf nu welkom op mijn adres.
Goed, we gaan van start en beginnen met een reggaeband uit eind jaren 70 en voornamelijk jaren 80 en 90. Nu denken jullie waarschijnlijk dat kan nooit wat zijn. Mis! Het is een band die de allereerste reggae Grammy Award won.
Michael Rose, nog zo een bekende, is door deze band bekend geworden want zong daarvoor enkel voor toeristen.(deze is voor volgende keer)
Ik stel u voor Black Uhuru of te wel Black Freedom.
En omdat al die youtubefilmpjes toch niet zo veel zeggen, schenk ik jullie
Black Uhuru - Sensemilla , het eerste album van ze wat ook buiten Jamaica uitkomt.

Toen ik Kyle Thomas' vocals voor de eerste keer hoorde, had ik spontaan een WTF-moment, but whatever. Enjoy. Check vooral hun ouder materiaal , de band heeft een hoop line-up changes ondergaan tot ze vorig jaar in september uiteen gingen. Words Of A Dying Man komt van hun laatste album "Open Fire" en is dus nog relatief nieuw!
